Mission Statement
The Solution Architect is responsible for the design, integrity, and quality of the SAP solution and associated IS services delivered to Business, Support Functions, and IS Technology domains. They ensure that the SAP solution/service provides the required functionality and meets business requirements. The Solution Architect collaborates with project setup, delivery, and service operations optimization.
The Solution Architect manages workstream interdependencies, mainly within the specific End-to-End Stream.
Your Responsibilities
1. Defines the technical SAP solution and ensures alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through collaboration with solution architects.
2. Engages in requirement engineering to determine which requirements are covered by standard functionalities, which need enhancements, and which workarounds are acceptable.
3. Supports validation and prioritization of business demands in collaboration with project owners, business functions, IS Business Analysts, IS Service Managers, and others.
4. Translates functional design into specifications, reviews, and signs off on use case specifications.
5. Communicates technical specifications to developers.
6. Participates in unit testing, supports UAT testing, and defect resolution.
7. Manages transport requests and updates their status until release to production.
8. Formulates rules, principles, and guidelines for developing technical solutions.
9. Determines non-functional requirements and ensures service operation standards are considered.
10. Keeps up-to-date with new IS technologies and practices, integrating learning into HE.
11. Collaborates with users to develop and deploy cost-effective IS solutions/services.
12. Maintains solution documentation and training materials.
13. Supports installation and modification of SAP solutions/services.
14. Consults with users to understand procedures and clarify requirements.
15. Supports SAP process management and optimization.
16. Guides IS project management and delivery teams on IS application standards.
17. Contributes to collaborative efforts across business and technology domains.
18. Follows IS processes as per RACIS specifications.
19. Works with the Global IS Domain Architect to ensure standards are met.
20. Supports temporary teams with expertise and guidance.

Your Background
1. Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
2. Over 10 years of IT experience with at least 8 years in solution architecture, focusing on S/4 HANA.
3. Experience with global projects in your domain of expertise.
4. At least 3 years of team leadership experience managing onsite and offshore teams.
5. Practical experience with integration tools like BizTalk and/or MuleSoft.
6. SAP S/4 HANA certification or other SAP solutions.
7. Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
8. Knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and debugging (preferred).
9. Experience with SAP frameworks, APIs, and related technologies.
10. International experience working across different cultures.
11. Proven ability to implement SAP best practices, especially during business carve-outs.
12. Strong skills in translating business needs into IT solutions.
13. Leadership skills to guide virtual teams effectively.
14. Awareness of SAP's latest technologies and industry developments.
15. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
16. Innovative mindset, willing to challenge the status quo.
17. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
