As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that maintains and services the guest cabins. In this role, you will be responsible for the close monitoring of cleanliness and standards aboard the luxury train. Reporting to the Head of Housekeeping, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for excellence and storytelling in travel, a strong cultural awareness and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards. Primary Responsibilities Include:
* This is a seasonal role which runs from March to November. This includes a 4-week training period prior to welcoming guests in April.
* Monitoring team members’ effectiveness and implementing corrective action where required.
* Leading by example, providing a level of service and standards in line with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and customer expectations.
* Providing team members with correct equipment to enable them to undertake their role successfully.
* Closely monitoring cleanliness and standards in cabins and public areas. Housekeepers tidy and clean cabins 4 times a day.
* Ordering linen and chemicals according to budget, ensuring stock is kept up to date.
Requirements
What You Bring:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry. Hospitality qualification an advantage.
* Relevant management or field/industry related diploma or degree.
* Leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Experience in fixing tears, repairing seams and performing alterations of garments.
* COSHH knowledge and awareness.
