CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term contract until 27/03/2027. Part-time (14 hours per week) - Working days would typically be Monday and Tuesday, with one Wednesday per month; however, this is subject to change and flexibility is required

LOCATION: GLASGOW, PACIFIC QUAY.
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £23,500 - £25,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. Please note this salary will be pro-rata'd.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To provide support to ALBA CHILDREN'S continuous output team in the Riverside Studio by performing several important production related tasks and activities.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
* Acting as a point of contact for the camera team to prepare and supply metadata material for studio log notes.
* Taking and maintaining accurate log notes.
* Taking camera cards to Media Central for ingest.
* Acting as point of contact for the editor to ensure log notes and specific information from studio is received.
* Assisting with members of the public, contributors and onscreen talent in studio.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Gaelic language skills.
* Ability to use IT proficiently, including a range of software packages.
* Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
* Effective time management and organisational skills, and the initiative to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to maintain standards of accuracy and attention to detail when working to deadlines or changing priorities.
DESIRABLE:
* Passion for Gaelic language broadcasting and media.
* The ability to problem-solve and suggest effective solutions.
* Awareness of financial responsibility, as may be required to keep track of petty cash and record receipts.
* A knowledge, or the ability to acquire it, of BBC structures, procedures and policies.
