We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, reliable, innovative, and flexible individual to lead our friendly and dedicated team in Haematology and Blood Transfusion across ESNEFT laboratories at Ipswich and Colchester.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage staff within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion departments across ESNEFT.
2. Deputise for the Head of Operations as required.
3. Collaborate with Laboratory Managers and the senior leadership team in Pathology.
4. Ensure departments maintain MHRA compliance and UKAS accreditation, with recent experience in inspections required.
5. Maintain HCPC registration and relevant higher qualifications.
6. Apply current experience in Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion and knowledge of medical laboratory standards.
7. Demonstrate staff management, leadership, and excellent communication skills.
8. Promote staff development through training and courses.
9. Lead on scientific and technical direction, policy implementation, and best practices.
10. Provide expert advice on interactions with other services and regulatory compliance.
11. Oversee manual, semi-automated, and automated investigations, stock control, and policy development.
12. Communicate complex information effectively to staff and clinicians.
