Overview
Part-time (0.8wte) Substance Misuse Case Manager - 12 Months Maternity Cover. The role supports service users with diverse and complex needs relating to substance use, including alcohol, within a multi-disciplinary team in the community.
Responsibilities
* Assess needs from a person-centred and strength-based perspective.
* Provide case management and ensure service users have access to information and tools to live in recovery.
* Work within a team-led environment to deliver services including aftercare, work with young people, community rehabilitation programmes, and specialist support for image and performance‑enhancing substances and steroids.
* Engage with service users and families, and support volunteers and peer mentors where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree (e.g., psychology, sociology, social work) or Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent; or appropriate field experience in substance misuse.
* If you are experienced in the field but do not have formal qualifications, a comprehensive package of accredited qualifications is provided, and ASYE support is offered for newly qualified Social Workers.
* By the commencement of employment, you must have the right to work in the UK.
