Overview
It's more than a job. As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end‑to‑end warehousing operations for our customers. Focused on efficiency, reliability, and customer service to ensure goods move smoothly and on time across the supply chain. This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day operational functionality and supervising the performance of the inspection operations from off‑load of trailers to presentation for inspection, and reload onto trailers.
Responsibilities
* Operational / Tactical duties
* Supervising teams in daily activities
* Co‑ordinating daily working groups and workloads
* Prioritising taskings and
* Carry out relevant administrative tasks to ensure the successful running of operational teams and processes
* Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
* Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility whilst remaining compliant with manual handling procedures and health and safety legislation
* Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
* Work with on‑site partners to support the inspection process
* Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
* Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
* Maintain the inspection environment following training
* COSHH Awareness following training
* Participate and complete required training and development relevant to role
* Champion a health and safety culture
* Ensure cleanliness and compliance of working environments to relevant health and hygiene standards
* Maintain and drive a positive health and safety working environment
Qualifications
* A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
* Experience of working to agreed targets
* Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner
* Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
* Work individually or as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absence when required
* Good communication skills and a high level of accountability by leading an example to team members
* Motivate team members to excel and place the customer at the centre of all decision making
* High attention to detail
