Overview
Would you like to join our friendly midwifery team in East London? An exciting opportunity has arisen to extend your IT skills within a Midwifery setting. We are looking to recruit an informatics specialist midwife to lead informatics within the maternity department at Whipps Cross Hospital and support the wider Barts Health Informatics strategy.
You will be an enthusiastic and IT‑competent midwife who co‑ordinates and leads the digital strategy for Maternity at Whipps Cross, working closely with counterparts across the site and the wider informatics team. You will have overall responsibility to ensure data accuracy within the service and to provide reports as required. The role includes contributing to new IT developments and supporting the implementation of a new Informatics system.
The successful candidate will be supported by the senior management team and counterparts across the three maternity units and the wider informatics team.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Maternity Team, you will co‑ordinate and provide information technology support and training. You will have overall responsibility for the accuracy of data within the service and work with staff to ensure correct electronic input. You will be responsible for the preparation of the maternity dashboard and for producing monthly key performance indicator reports for dissemination, discussion and data quality assurance.
