Our prestigious client situated on Princes Street is currently seeking a Temporary Senior Sous Chef on an on going basis. This is a temporary role with no end date.
Pay rate of £18.00 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications.
The Senior Sous Chef will assist the Head chef in managing kitchen operations, including
menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision. The ideal candidate will have a
passion for cooking and a strong background in culinary arts.
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Sous Chef in or senior sous chef in a high-volume kitchen.
-Strong leadership and communication skills.
-Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
-Experience in fine dining.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
-Manage food safety and sanitation regulations.
-Culinary degree or equivalent work experience.
-Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes
Responsibilities:
-assisting the Head Chef in creating and implementing menus.
-Oversee food preparation and cooking activities to ensure consistency and quality.
-Train and supervise the kitchen staff, including the line cooks and food preparation
