The Role

Within Mental Health, Addictions and Learning Disabilities Occupational Therapy in NHS Lanarkshire we have an established peer supervision structure and access to training. We have a robust internal training programme for care aims training and Behavioural activation, and the successful candidates would receive this training within the first year in post. We have a supervision structure for this also, facilitated by Occupational Therapists who are NES trained in Psychological therapies supervision. In Lanarkshire we promote and support the use of a wide range of occupational therapy specific outcome measures and we encourage innovative working where all grades of staff are supported to engage in quality improvement activities. The successful candidate will be based in the adult CMHT in Airdrie/Coatbridge and work alongside a band 6 specialist occupational therapist and advanced occupational therapy assistant, and be operationally managed within a larger occupational therapy team that gives you great links to occupational therapists working in addictions, older adult and the pan Lanarkshire mental health rehab service.

What we'll need you to bring

* Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
* Knowledge of application of the theory underpinning OT practice
* The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work using own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
* A full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

* This role will be based and is for 1 Positions Airdrie Community Health Centre & 1 Positions Buchanan Health Centre
