Your ProfileWe are currently recruiting for a SQL Application Support Analyst in Manchester to meet the demands of the growing technology production services responsibilitiesWork with team members across Engineering business units and with client facing teams Youll be required to work in a dynamic environment which consists of client Pershing developed and 3rd party acquired software applicationsYou will be responsible for providing application monitoring and support to the various internal Pershing technical and nontechnical teams Client Support team external third party application support groups and users of client Pershing hosted applications Issues may arise from the software and could be business process related usage related or related to changes from recent software releases You would need to quickly investigate the possible source of the issue and route the details through the relevant teams if the problem cannot be resolved within the applications support groupThe core support times for the team are from 0800 1800 on site with additional support provided by the team in India from 0200 to 0800 Monday Friday Your RoleMust Have Skills Excellent SQL scripting skillsGood to have Skills Knowledge of any scripting language such as PowerShell or VBScriptExcellent SQL scripting skillsKnowledge of any scripting language such as PowerShell or VBScriptExperience of using monitoring tools such as AppD Splunk Grafana Cloudprober MoogsoftKnowledge of any scripting language such as PowerShell or VBScriptExperience of using Azure and Snowflake technologyKnowledge of multitier application architectureExperience of web technologies and internet based applicationsExperience of working with Production and Nonproduction environmentsExperience of application recovery of priority incidents with limited supportUnderstanding of Message Queuing ie IBM WebSphere MQ or Microsoft MQ etcKnowledge of any issueproblem tracking system such as ServiceNow.Soft SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHas the right attitude towards the role and is willing to support all products and react to live problems with the utmost priorityDemonstrates the ability to work with crosscontinental crossculture support teams with a proven ability to liaise and coordinate between disparate and multidisciplined teamsHigh level of professionalism when communicating with external clients and internal users to resolve problemsTake ownership of problems and strive to bring the problem to closure whilst managing expectationsResults oriented leading by example with excellent analytical and problemsolving skillsMaintain an attitude of continual service improvement to help suggest improvements and drive change.
