About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual who shares our vision to join our trading team as a motivating store manager. You will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, motivating your team to maximize sales and fundraising targets. Your shop will be a community hub where people learn about our work and our brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guiding, inspiring, and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development.
2. Owning the commercial operation of your store, including display, merchandising, stock management, and maintaining shop standards.
3. Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.
4. Maximizing profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
5. Building relationships with the local community and colleagues.
6. Organizing and running creative fundraising events to meet targets.
7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
Additional Information
Training will include four weeks in a training shop, learning from a Training Shop Manager, possibly at a different location. Employment is subject to a satisfactory DBS check. * Retail management experience is preferred.
