An established and growing multi-disciplinary construction consultancy in Central London is looking to appoint a confident and client-facing BSR Principal Designer to support the continued expansion of their Building Safety Act services.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across London and the surrounding Home Counties, spanning multiple sectors.
The Role
As a BSR Principal Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act, working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to manage and coordinate building safety risks throughout the design process. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing clear guidance and maintaining strong client relationships across a varied project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the Principal Designer role in line with the Building Safety Act regulations
* Advise clients on their statutory duties and building safety compliance
* Coordinate design risk management and ensure effective information flow across project teams
* Engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to completion
* Support and contribute to the growth of the consultancy’s BSA/BSR offering
About You
* Background in Building Control/Building Inspection or a design-led discipline
* Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act and associated regulations
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
* Commercially aware and comfortable working in a client-facing role
* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple projects
