Overview
Photographic Archivist (Foundation Endowment) at The University of Edinburgh. The role oversees the archival management and curatorial understanding of the photographic collections within the University\'s Heritage Collections.
Responsibilities
* Oversee archival management and curatorial understanding of the University\'s photographic collections.
* Work with collections specialists to improve finding aids and access to the collections.
* Develop relationships with academic and local communities to support engagement with the collections.
* Scope and plan activities to further understand the collections and identify future work.
Qualifications
* Postgraduate Degree in Archival, Library or Museum Management.
* Experience of managing photographic collections to internationally recognised standards.
* Ability to apply relevant knowledge, skills and techniques in research, discussion and dissemination.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to form and cultivate relationships with diverse groups based on credibility, trust and mutual respect.
* Excellent written and oral communication and presentational skills, capable of explaining complex topics simply to non-specialist audiences.
Role Details
* Grade UE07: £41,064 to £48,822 per annum (pro-rata if part time)
* Full-time: 35 hours per week
* Fixed term: 36 months
