H9 Talent Solutions have partnered with a rapidly growing clean technology business who is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support the development and scale-up of innovative industrial systems focused on sustainability, efficiency, and next-generation energy solutions.
This is an opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team delivering complex process solutions from concept through to commissioning within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Role & Responsibilities
* Lead process engineering activities across design, optimisation, and operational improvement projects
* Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and technical specifications
* Support pilot plant, demonstration, and commercial-scale system development
* Conduct process simulations and performance analysis to improve efficiency and reliability
* Work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, and project engineering teams
* Contribute to HAZOPs, risk assessments, and process safety activities
* Support commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Engage with suppliers, customers, and external engineering partners where required
* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the process engineering function
Skills & Experience
* Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline
* Significant industrial experience within clean technology, energy, chemicals, industrial gases, waste-to-energy, hydrogen, carbon capture, or related sectors
* Strong understanding of process design principles and industrial plant operations
* Experience with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar
* Knowledge of process safety and engineering standards
* Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams in a dynamic environment
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
