Compliance Administrator
We are looking for an Administrator to join our large Reading-based recruitment office to assist with pre-employment screening.
This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday with flexible hours between 8am-5:30pm. We are 100% office-based. Weekend work and rota adjustments may be required during peak times (Easter, September-December).
This role is initially a temporary contract to handle a high volume of pre-employment checks but could become permanent in the future.
The role and responsibilities:
1. Assist the pre-employment screening team with tasks such as right to work checks, reference chasing, and criminal record checks.
2. Make calls and send emails to clients, candidates, and referees.
3. Ensure candidates going through onboarding have a positive experience and are compliant with government and client regulations.
4. Use online portal systems to track important data.
5. Collaborate with other parts of the business to ensure efficient pre-employment checks and timely data collection.
6. Follow up with candidates and consultants for additional or corrected data as needed.
What we need from you:
* Preferably candidates with a background in compliance or pre-employment screening, but we are open to strong administrative skills from other sectors.
* Attention to detail is essential.
* Ability to follow guidelines.
* Good written and spoken communication skills for liaising with different parts of the business.
* Self-motivated and confident.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent organization and planning skills.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
