Job Description
Assist with the delivery of a clean and safe user environment within various premises across East Ayrshire to support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council’s key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have an existing membership, with a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are regularly updated, and relevant disclosures will be discussed with applicants prior to employment.

Following the national ‘Safer Recruitment’ guidance, applicants should provide at least two relevant references, including one from their current or most recent employer. The reference from the current or most recent employer must be from an appropriate senior manager and not a peer at the same level.
Additional Information
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position at Hillhead PS, working 12.5 hours per week: Monday to Thursday from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm and Friday from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The post is temporary until 30 June 2026.
