Job Title: Early Years Practitioner – 1:1 SEN Support
Hours:15 hours per week
* Monday & Tuesday: 9am–3pm
Pay:£12.21 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay
Contract Type: Fixed-term (linked to individual child’s attendance and funding)
Venue: footprints@netherton nursery, Netherton Family Wellbeing Centre, Liverpool
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive individual to join our early years team at footprints@netherton as a 1:1 SEN Support Practitioner. This rewarding role involves working closely with a child with additional needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
The purpose of the role is to:
Support children’s learning and development through play
Be a ‘key person’ and build positive relationships with children and their families
Protect and promote children’s health and well-being
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
What We are Looking For
* A genuine passion for working with young children
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
* Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
* Experience in Early Years or school settings (desirable)
* SEN experience or knowledge of alternative communication tools (e.g., Makaton, PECS) is a plus
