Ocean Infinity is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant.
What You Will Do
- Identifying, developing, and delivering offshore environmental service opportunities across existing and new clients.
- Grow and develop our environmental consultancy services across key areas, including environmental permitting; offshore/marine works consenting; asset and site development; asset decommissioning.
- Supporting business development activities through client engagement, proposal development, tender support, and technical consultancy input.
- Coordinating and managing environmental subcontractors to support project execution and consultancy delivery requirements.
- Acting as technical authority for environmental operational activities across offshore projects and consultancy scopes.
- Driving the development and operational integration of environmentally focused technical capabilities and solutions, including remote MMO and remote PAM systems.
- Supporting environmental permitting, compliance, mitigation planning, and environmental risk management activities associated with offshore operations.
- Representing Geowynd and Ocean Infinity during client meetings, technical workshops, industry engagement activities, and relevant environmental forums.
- Developing and maintaining a network of business, regulatory, and technical contacts to support the growth of Ocean Infinity’s environmental consultancy and environmental monitoring capabilities.
- Complying with management system policies, practices, programs, and procedures.
- Supporting Geowynd and the wider Ocean Infinity Group’s environmental and social goals.
Who You Are
- Master’s degree in marine biology, Environmental Science, Biological Oceanography, or related discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience supporting offshore environmental operations, marine environmental consultancy, or marine environmental management activities.
- Demonstrable experience supporting offshore energy, subsea, or marine operational projects.
- Demonstrable experience identifying, developing, and executing environmental consultancy opportunities within offshore, marine, or offshore energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of the offshore environmental regulatory landscape, including environmental permitting, mitigation requirements, stakeholder engagement, and compliance obligations across marine operations and offshore energy activities.
- Experience supporting tendering, proposals, business development, or client-facing consultancy activities.
- Experience identifying, defining, and documenting environmental and operational technical development opportunities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technology and product development teams to support implementation and operational integration.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective business, technical, and regulatory stakeholder relationships.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and operate independently.
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, varying by region and job grade, based on skills and experience.
