As a frontline Social Worker, you will carry out high-quality assessments and interventions that ensure the safety, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes for children. This is a critical role at the point of referral, where your professional judgment and decision-making will shape the future for those in need. You will work as part of a collaborative and well-resourced team with strong multi-agency links. You will be offered reflective supervision, manageable caseloads, and a culture that promotes learning, support, and development.

You can expect a fantastic salary of:

£37,366 to £45,511 per annum DOE.

Responsibilities:

* Respond promptly to new referrals via the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
* Undertake timely and proportionate assessments under Section 17 and Section 47 of the Children Act 1989.
* Evaluate risk and need at the point of contact, applying thresholds appropriately.
* Carry out Child and Family Assessments, ensuring the voice of the child is central.
* Identify strengths, risks, and protective factors using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
* Develop clear, outcome-focused plans with families and partner agencies.
* Lead on safeguarding investigations where there are concerns of significant harm.
* Convene and contribute to Strategy Discussions, Child Protection Conferences, and Legal Planning Meetings.
* Prepare reports for court and provide evidence where legal proceedings are initiated.
* Work collaboratively with schools, health, police, and voluntary sector agencies.
* Liaise with Early Help, Education, Youth Justice, and SEND services to ensure coordinated support.
* Safely transfer cases requiring ongoing support (e.g., Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children) to long-term teams following assessment.
* Maintain detailed and up-to-date case recordings, assessments, and chronologies
* Engage in regular supervision, reflective practice, and peer support.
* Contribute to service development and uphold the standards of the Social Work England professional framework.

Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification or equivalent
* Social Work England registered
* Enhanced DBS
