Graduate Mechanical Engineer – 2026 Development Programme – East Anglia

This role sits within our Infrastructure operating unit, supporting the design, delivery, and maintenance of critical assets in the water industry with Anglian Water across East Anglia.
What you’ll do:
* Assist in the mechanical design of pumping stations, treatment works, and pipeline systems
* Support project delivery teams on site and in the office
* Collaborate with civil, electrical, and process engineers
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings
* Engage with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure engineering excellence
* Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across all activities
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Final‑year student or recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or MEng)
* A strong interest in sustainable engineering and the water sector
* Strong interest in innovation, sustainability, and positive societal impact, demonstrated through collaborative teamwork and proactive problem‑solving
* Enthusiastic learner dedicated to personal and professional development
* Visits across the UK; expect a driving licence or work towards obtaining one within first year
