SENIOR TEAM LEADER ROLE Perm contract IMMEDIATE START Industrial Recruitment Solutions (IRS) Ltd are working with the worlds largest seller of used books online and are looking to add a Senior Team Leader to their state-of-the-art, fully automated warehouse and distribution centre based in Baginton, Coventry. The role is a key appointment within the new Coventry warehouse operations team, contributing to the Group’s longer-term operational strategy. The role will ensure the smooth running of the full operation process and safe working practices within our fast-paced environment. The candidate will be reporting directly to the Team Manager and standing in for them in their absence. The Senior Team Leader will need to work well within a team, offer leadership and the ability to meet and surpass performance KPI’s across their area of the business. Must be able to work a 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern 8am to 8pm - £32,000 per annum. Some of the key responsibilities for this new role are: Plan for their areas daily target, head count and KPI expected Brief area Team Leader on Health and Safety, the plan for the day and set expectations Prepare for morning meetings with revised headcounts and targets Provide line management for up to 5 Team leaders Receive and allocate work and resources including labour, overtime and supervision Deliver effective communication whilst working in a team environment Able to work effectively with other departments to achieve business results Manage disciplinary and performance issues Undertake appraisals of all reporting staff as required To carry out any other Ad hoc duties as required by the Team Manager or deemed as necessary by the organisation. Comply with the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, and ensure that any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in their absence Key Skills Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the working area Practised in continuous improvement tools and techniques for practical application to problem solving Actively promote and improve Health and Safety practices to achieve Company targets Proactively prevent problems before they arise by taking a forward view of the plan and taking necessary steps to deliver daily targets Ability to prioritise work assignments, according to urgency Excellent people manager and motivator who has a number of different styles and approaches to use in any given situation Experience of supervising teams of approx. 30 employees Warehouse/ Logistic Operations Project management/ automation Please apply with CV application for Immediate Consideration
