Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our KS1 team. You will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, providing one-to-one or small group assistance to help children reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons in Key Stage 1.
Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to planning.
Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment.
Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and carers to support pupil development.
Person Specification - Successful Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children in a KS1 setting (school or similar environment).
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain one.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A good understanding of how children learn at KS1 and strategies to support progress.
A positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to supporting all pupils.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
