Job Description
3. Deliver hands-on support of training across the site, including new starter inductions, food safety and legal compliance (HACCP/TACCP), management and leadership development, and mental health and wellbeing awareness.
4. Lead, coach, and support a team of site trainers
5. Actively support shop-floor training
6. Oversee forklift and specialist training
7. Manage SVQs on site (Level 2 through to management) and apprenticeships.
8. Liaise with colleges, external training providers, and awarding bodies.
9. Source, book, and manage external courses and learning agreements.
10. Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate training records.
The Successful Applicant
A successful L&D Manager should have:
11. Proven experience in a hands-on Learning & Development or Training Manager role.
12. Background in manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, or similar environments.
13. Confident delivering training at all levels, including management.
14. Experience managing and developing training teams.
15. Qualification in Learning & Development, Leadership, Management, or CIPD preferred.
16. Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
17. Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a changing environment .

18. Competitive salary ranging from £45,000pa to £47,000pa
19. 5 days based on-site, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week - 9 AM to 5 PM - Flexible start times if needed.)
