Job Purpose Identify and working with new potential clients, and nurturing and maximising existing contacts and accounts. This role requires someone who is passionate about the building materials sector, persistent and possesses strong communication skills to develop client relationships and identify new business.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the job title are:
Sales manager covering the Scottish region involved in the key stages from specification to end user engagement
Architectural specification in the region for the core products of brick & stone along with the full group cladding offering and associated products.
Managing & nurturing existing & new client base including architects, main contractors, subcontractors & housebuilders
Access to Glenigan sales leads system along with all the required sales tools to manage and grow the business including utilising the new Glasgow design studio.
Technical Knowledge
Ability to build relations with long standing major account, quickly and effectively;
High level of sales skills to manage the whole life sale of our products for appointment to closing the sale and ensuring absolute client satisfaction with the delivered product;
Working closely with the team in delivering and reporting on business performance and future opportunities
Utilising the sales IT systems used in the business.
Be a positive and proactive ambassador of the business
Effectively manage client contacts via the CRM
Effectively manage the sales pipelines, forecasts and secured business.
Maximise repeat revenue and ensure overall clients satisfaction
Record and manage potential and active leads and opportunities
Make sure our range of products are being effectively presented and revenue opportunities optimised
Maximise the use of major client face-to-face presentations where relevant
Maximise revenue from major account clients
Knowledge of the building materials sector and the different routes to market
Experience within the architectural specification sector
