Head of Nutrition - Scotland - £120,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits
The Job:
Our client is a highly respected and innovative business operating within the animal nutrition sector. Due to continued growth and strategic investment, they are seeking an experienced Head of Nutrition to lead their technical function and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for developing and delivering the company's nutrition strategy, leading a team of technical specialists, and driving innovation across multiple market segments. Working closely with commercial, operational and research teams, you will ensure the business continues to deliver industry leading solutions that create value for customers and support long term growth.
The successful individual will act as the organisation's senior nutritional expert, providing strategic guidance internally while representing the business externally with customers, industry stakeholders and research partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high performing nutrition team
- Defining and implementing the company's nutritional strategy
- Driving technical excellence and innovation across the business
- Supporting the development of new products, services and customer solutions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
- Providing technical leadership to support commercial objectives
- Monitoring industry developments and emerging scientific trends
- Contributing to strategic business planning as a member of the senior leadership team
The Candidate:
- A degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Agriculture or a related discipline
- A postgraduate qualification (MSc or PhD) would be advantageous
- Significant experience within animal nutrition, feed, premix or related sectors
- Demonstrable experience leading and developing technical teams
- Strong commercial awareness and customer engagement skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- A track record of delivering innovation and influencing business performance
- The ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels
