The role of a senior support worker involves:
* Contributing to young people's care plans and risk assessments, and reviewing and implementing them
* Building effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate), and external agencies
* Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the home, following the cleaning rota, and encouraging young people's participation
* Keeping high-quality records with supervision and guidance from shift and managers
* Upholding professional standards expected by Esland and Ofsted
* Supporting the educational and social development of young people and assisting with Individual Education Programs
* Addressing the emotional and physical needs of young people and maximizing developmental opportunities
* Supporting the deputy/manager during shifts and performing senior duties as directed
Candidate requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (highly desirable)
* Experience in a children's home setting (essential)
* Supervisory experience (essential)
* Passion for nurturing young people
* Ability to work shift patterns including sleep-ins (schedule provided in advance, likely 2 on 4 off)
* Full UK driving license (essential)
* Candidates must be over 21 years old to comply with industry regulations
Successful employment is contingent upon satisfactory background checks, right to work verification, and references, all covered by the company.
