Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join The Mary Erskine School on a full-time, fixed-term basis from August 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The initial contract is for six months with the possibility of extension. The role is full-time, working 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm), with a salary range of £29,226 - £32,001 per annum.
The purpose of the role is to check and process all cash transactions, including direct debits and faster payments. The Finance Administrator also manages credit cards, petty cash transactions, and processes expense claims.
The successful candidate will have experience in financial administration and accounts receivable roles, including working with multiple budget holders and handling both internal and external clients. They will be proficient in accounting systems, double entry bookkeeping, and managing tasks such as posting journals, processing payments, and completing reconciliations. Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail are essential.
