Oracle Applications DBA- E-Business Suite
Primary Location: Cheadle (Can also consider Belfast, Bristol, Crawley, Doncaster, Glasgow, Reading or Templecombe.

Our Opportunity:
To manage and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments and general Oracle database lifecycle events (projects, upgrades, changes, incidents etc.).
1. Installation, upgrade, patching, cloning and overall performance tuning of Oracle EBS Environments and associated databases.
2. Technical support and incident management for Oracle EBS Systems
3. Database Support for other Oracle based systems
The role reports to the Applications & Development Chapter Lead and is a member of the Applications Management Support Team.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Oracle E-Business Suite Applications DBA
4. Installation, configuration and maintenance of Oracle EBS R12.x environments
5. Perform Oracle EBS environment refreshes and resolve cloning issues related to database, application tier or filesystem
6. Apply EBS, CPU and security patches (application, database or technology stack) as applicable
7. Work with developers and functional consultants to manage regular code, update, fix deployments
8. Monitor and tune database and application performance
General Oracle DBA
9. Database design and implementation
10. Backups/Restores/Clones of Oracle databases
11. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
12. Perform database & application tuning and performance monitoring
13. Setup and maintain documentation and standards
14. Work as part of a team
15. Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
16. Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support
17. Contribute to a strategic database direction for the organisation
About You:
Skills & Experience
18. Experience as an Oracle Applications DBA supporting EBS R12.x environments
19. Strong knowledge of Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c) administration, related utilities and tools
20. Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring
21. Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
22. Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
23. Proficiency in Linux operating system administration
24. Sound communication skills with functional & development teams, vendors and systems administrators
25. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Qualification
26. Degree/HND or an equivalent experience in a relevant IT subject
Desirable
27. Experience with cloud-hosted EBS environments (OCI, Azure)
28. Experience of NetApp storage and database backup technologies
29. Knowledge and experience of supporting and deploying other database technologies, i.e. Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL
30. Any related IS certifications/qualifications/training
