Required Skills:
Proven experience in solution architecture with a focus on designing microservice and cloud-based solutions
Hands-on engineering background, with deep knowledge of software development, build, delivery, and design principles
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, APIs, and distributed systems
Experience transforming monolithic applications into modern ecosystems
Ability to define, embed, and enforce architecture patterns, standards, and best practices
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex architectural visions and secure stakeholder buy-in
Collaborates well across teams, energising product, engineering, and architecture communities
Experience working within regulated environments, balancing innovation with compliance and risk considerations
Nice to Have Skills:
Leadership experience, with the ability to coach and mentor teams of technologists
Exposure to large-scale platform programmes or innovation laboratories
Influence on enterprise-level technology strategy and operational models
Familiarity with cloud-native ecosystems, containerisation, and DevOps practices
Preferred Education and Experience:
A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Several years of solution architecture experience within banking, finance, or similar regulated industries
Other Requirements:
Ability to work on a hybrid basis, with 2 days per week in the office
Willingness to support the transformation of legacy systems into cloud-native architectures
