Creativity sits at the heart of our community, and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of Geography to lead and inspire our visual arts provision.
What you will be doing
We are looking for an engaging and passionate individual to deliver a vibrant Geography curriculum across KS3 and GCSE. This is a wonderful opportunity to shape a dynamic, inclusive Geography curriculum where pupils feel confident to explore, experiment and express themselves.
This post is for 3 days per week, with the possibility of additional hours depending on subject expertise.
Role overview
* Hold QTS and a PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification)
* Teach Geography to GCSE level (A-Level experience desirable)
* Design and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned to GCSE specification
* Plan well-structured and engaging lessons
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance
* Work collaboratively as part of a supportive, committed staff team
* Promote a stimulating learning environment through display and celebration of pupil work
* Prepare students effectively for examinations and final assessment requirements
* Contribute to wider school events and enrichment activities involving the visual arts
* Uphold safeguarding policies and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom for all pupils
