The Role
You’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day health and administration of SQL Server environments, while also playing a key role in major projects, including migrations, upgrades, and platform improvements. The team values proactive DBAs who focus on stability, performance, and continuous improvement, rather than firefighting.
Key responsibilities include:
* Running and improving SQL health checks, monitoring, and performance tuning
* Supporting and delivering migration projects and major SQL upgrades
* Working closely with infrastructure and engineering teams on wider initiatives
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement and standardisation of the SQL estate
What They’re Looking For
* Strong hands‑on experience as a SQL DBA
* Solid understanding of SQL Server administration, performance, backups, and resilience
* Experience working on projects such as migrations or upgrades
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and develop alongside the team
* Someone who values being part of the business and contributing beyond a siloed DBA function
Working Pattern
This is an office‑first role. There is some flexibility for remote working where genuinely required, but candidates should expect to be on‑site as standard. This is important for team collaboration and company culture.
* 10% salary sacrifice pension
* Car finance options
* Flexible benefits package
