Building Services Engineer - Client Direct - Banking Environment - London - £45,000 + bonus + AP Training
About the Role
Exciting opportunity to work In House / Client Direct for a very well known financial institution in London. The client is looking for an Electrical or Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to be based across two critical/commercial buildings next to each other in London. The successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally within a critical site (Bank, Data centre, Blue chip office, etc.). Working with the maintenance team on site, you will carry out mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance. The company offers a competitive package of £45,000 + 10% bonus + AP Training and AP allowance after training completes.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through operation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
* Ensure plant faults and defects are remedied to maintain the plant in serviceable order at all times.
* Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
* Ensure comprehensive maintenance records are completed in the form of job sheets.
* Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilised for all tasks (PPM and reactive) to ensure safe working practices.
* Maintenance tasks across Lighting, Emergency lighting, Air Conditioning (AHU/Fan Coil Unit), Chillers, Water Treatment, Pumps, Motors, BMS monitoring, and related building services equipment.
* Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
* Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
* Maintain informal communications with client staff related to service levels and issues; report service-affecting issues to site management for formal client communication.
* Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks within personal competency.
* Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.
* Escort specialist subcontractors as required.
Requirements
* Electrically or Mechanically qualified Level 3 / HNC / HND
* Copies of trade certificates (Essential)
* Ability to pass security clearance
* Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
* Understanding of critical plant: Chillers, HVAC, UPS systems, Cooling Towers, etc.
* Excellent customer skills
* Ideally multi-skilled
Highly desirable (Not essential)
* High Voltage experience/qualification (current)
