Whether it’s a quiet pint on a Tuesday, a birthday bash, or a gig in a castle, we make it memorable—freshly poured pints, a warm welcome, and a good bit of Scottish banter.
Now, we’re looking for aDeputy General Managerto be the GM’s right-hand person and help lead our largest venue in Glasgow City Centre. Think of it as being the ultimate wingman: keeping things smooth, the team energised, and the guests coming back for more.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading from the front—running shifts with the team, not just overseeing them.
* Creating an environment where the team feels supported, trained, and motivated to deliver brilliant service.
* Working closely with your GM to keep everything ticking along behind the scenes—managing stock, keeping an eye on the numbers, and making sure we hit (and beat) our targets.
* Rolling up your sleeves and doing what it takes to keep the venue running smoothly and guests feeling well looked after.
What we’re looking for:
* You’ve got solid experience running a fast-paced pub, bar or restaurant—and you’re great with people.
* You know how to manage a team, solve problems on the fly, and make a busy Saturday night look easy.
* You care about the guest experience just as much as the bottom line—and you’ve got the leadership skills to make both thrive.
* You’re organised, numbers-savvy, and not afraid to get into the detail on stock, training, or rotas.
* You get that weekends, evenings, and holidays are when the magic happens—and you're happy to be part of it.
