Senior Business Development Manager - Total Waste Management Solutions

The Role: The successful Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities worth millions of pounds with national multisite organisations within the public and private sectors such as education, hospitals, hotel chains and retail in order to deliver profitable revenue growth. You will be responsible for managing your day-to-day activities, journey planning, proactively setting up business meetings, and driving sales by offering high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively seek new business on a national basis to meet set targets
* Achieving and exceeding quarterly / annual new business targets
* Reporting calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity onto the CRM
* Producing and presenting weekly, monthly, quarterly personal performance reports
* Liaising regularly with internal stakeholders such as the Depot Manager and the Operations team to roll out sales initiatives within the region
* Be the primary interface for target customers
* Present to board level
* Work with tenders and bids team when preparing tenders
* Responsible for sales prospecting and pricing negotiations

Candidate Criteria:
* Corporate sales experience selling high-value, complex services
* Ideally, a background in waste or Facilities Management (FM)
* Experience selling at head office level to board decision-makers
* Sold deals valued between £500,000 and over £1 million
* Experience with consultative sales processes, including writing bids and tenders
* Proven track record in new business sales
