Role Overview: The Collections Strategy Performance Analyst, part of the Business Excellence team within British Gas Business Energy, will focus on driving operational performance. The role involves analysing outsourced debt treatment performance, collaborating with operational teams to set targets, understanding risks, and identifying opportunities to improve debt performance. The goal is to optimise collection strategies, reduce costs, and enhance market-leading debt recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze and report on monthly collections strategy performance, linking operational activity to financial outcomes.
* Collaborate with debt teams to establish performance routines, monitor KPIs, and set targets.
* Assist in forecasting collection performance and setting achievable goals.
* Identify opportunities and risks, making recommendations for improvements.
* Implement controls to ensure all debt is appropriately treated.
* Support business leads with ad hoc analysis for better decision-making.
* Support deployment of strategic changes to collection strategies.
* Build relationships with internal and third-party stakeholders to deliver effective collection strategies.
* Contribute to performance improvement initiatives with clear cost-benefit analysis.
* Monitor operational performance and evaluate change initiatives.
* Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in credit risk performance.
Candidate Profile: We seek a candidate with a strong understanding of credit risk, debt processes, and key performance drivers. You should have excellent analytical skills, be innovative, and experienced in developing improvements within complex organizations. A proactive approach, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency in data analytics are essential. Collaboration skills across teams are vital to drive performance and efficiency.
