Support Worker (Temporary Agency) Uckfield, East Sussex Kingdom People is seeking Temporary Support Workers to join our supported living services in Uckfield, East Sussex. The Role As a Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and autonomy. Working collaboratively within a dedicated team, you will support individuals both in their homes and the wider community. Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting individuals with daily living tasks Encouraging and enabling independence rather than ‘doing for’ Providing emotional support and reassurance consistently Facilitating social activities and community participation Maintaining accurate records and adhering to care plans Complying with safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies What We Are Looking For We welcome applications from individuals who are: Passionate about supporting people to live life on their own terms Committed to a person-centred approach, supporting rather than directing Confident communicators who build positive, professional relationships Flexible, reliable, and able to work various shifts Empathetic, patient, and respectful towards people with learning disabilities Shift Information Services operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week Day shifts: between 07:00 and 22:00 Sleep-in shifts: 22:00 to 07:00 (You will sleep at the service and may be required to provide support during emergencies) Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins is essential.
