Solicitor – Landlord & Tenant / Property Litigation
Location: South Manchester (Office-based)
Areas covered: Wilmslow, Hale, Altrincham, Didsbury and surrounding areas
Experience level: Minimum 3 years PQE (with at least 5 years’ relevant experience)
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000+ per annum (DOE)
(Higher salaries and progression available for candidates with strong experience, advocacy skills, and proven business development/referral generation ability.)

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Solicitor specialising in Landlord and Tenant law to join our growing practice in South Manchester. This is an office-based role, suited to a solicitor with strong technical ability and a proactive approach to business development and client relationships.
You will handle a varied and high-quality caseload acting for both landlords and tenants across a range of contentious property matters, including:
* Tenant deposit claims
* Landlord and tenant disputes (acting for both parties)
* Residential and commercial evictions
* Dilapidations and disrepair/dilapidated property claims
* General property litigation matters
Experience & Requirements
* Qualified solicitor, ideally with minimum 3 years PQE
* A strong background in landlord and tenant / property litigation work (including training contract experience)
* Strong understanding of the South Manchester property market, including areas such as Wilmslow, Hale, Altrincham and surrounding locations
* Experience handling disputes independently and managing files end-to-end
* Confident, client-facing and commercially aware
Business Development & Referrals
This is not a purely desk-based role. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the firm’s growth through:
* Building and maintaining referral relationships
* Networking with agents, developers, managing agents and other professionals
* Actively generating new instructions and work streams
* Representing the firm at local business and professional events
Advocacy / Litigation
* Experience conducting litigation and attending court personally is highly desirable
* However, this is not essential, as counsel/barristers can be instructed where appropriate
