PERMANENT ROLE – HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER - 4 ON 4 OFF – £34,740.48 PER ANNUM PLUS PREMIUMS
Wincanton is offering the opportunity for Class 1 Lorry Drivers to join our delivery team out of our Rochdale distribution centre for JD Sports.
Delivery of totes to JD Sports locations ensuring that the loads are secured correctly and that the goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, paperwork is signed, and any agreed waste or totes are collected to be returned.
1. £16.598 per hour
2. £34,740.48 per annum
3. 40.25 hours per week contract
4. Shift pattern – 4 on 4 off
5. Shunting average 1-2 journeys per shift
6. Starts times between Midnight - 07:00
7. Fixed overtime rates apply

9. £26.20 Night out allowance
How will you contribute?
10. Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.
11. Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
12. Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
13. Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
14. Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
15. Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.
16. Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role.
What will you bring?
17. Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
18. Must have valid in date CPC
19. Must hold Digital tachograph card
20. Must not have more than 6 points on licence
21. Must have minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
22. Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
23. Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
24. Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
25. Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
26. Must have a good geographical knowledge
