National Account Manager – Sainsbury’s (Chilled Food)
Barnsley (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
£45,000 – £55,000 + Car Allowance
This isn’t a small account you can quietly learn on in the background.
It’s strategic, high visibility, and not short on expectation.

The role
You’ll take ownership of a key retail account, managing day-to-day performance while driving growth across chilled categories.
It’s a mix of commercial thinking, relationship building, and making sure things actually happen.
You’ll be:
* Managing and growing the Sainsbury’s account
* Driving promotions, forecasting and costings
* Working closely with NPD, Category and Supply Chain teams
* Getting involved in product launches and ongoing development
* Keeping a close eye on P&L and identifying margin opportunities
What they’re looking for
* Experience within food and retail accounts (bonus points for Sainsbury’s)
* Currently a National Account Executive ready to step up, or an existing NAM
* Strong communicator who can build relationships and influence
* Organised, proactive, and commercially aware
* Attitude matters just as much as experience here — they want someone who’ll get stuck in and drive things forward.
This is a well-structured commercial team with genuine progression.
Plenty of exposure, a big account, and the chance to grow into something bigger over time.
