Overview
SEN / SEND Tutor, Surrey role at TieTalent. Core subject tutoring in Maths, English, or Science for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Surrey. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND and related needs, including MLD and SLD. We seek tutors who are passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Surrey. Targeted Provision supports the child, and you will be guided by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists during placements.
This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work 1:1 with children and young people with various learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to boost engagement and educational progress.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet the learner’s needs and progress their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Qualifications
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (cost-supported application if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including for remote/online work

Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
