🚀 Billing Collections Manager – Shape the Future of Energy!

🔍 The Team

We’re launching a bold new energy venture and we’re looking for a dynamic Billing & Collections Manager to lead the design and delivery of innovative billing processes from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future, build your own team, and play a key role in a high-impact initiative within New Business & Net Zero.

We work in a hybrid, Flexible First way—typically spending 1–2 days a week in the office. However, this role will require someone who’s comfortable flexing their schedule as needed to meet the demands of the job. Whether you need to adjust your hours to fit your lifestyle or have specific needs that require a tailored schedule, we’re here to accommodate. 🔍 The Job

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you’ll ensure accurate and compliant consumer energy invoicing, backed by rigorous governance and proactive risk management. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.

💼 Your work

1. Oversee and manage end-to-end billing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness

2. Monitor accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce outstanding debt

3. Champion a digital-first approach to enhance the customer journey

4. Analyse billing data to uncover trends and drive continuous improvement

5. Collaborate with teams across New Business & Net Zero, Energy, and third parties to deliver a world-class service

6. Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards

✅ Key skills and experiences

7. Proven leadership experience in billing or operational finance

8. A passion for innovation and delivering customer-centric solutions

9. Strong analytical skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

10. Comfortable working cross-functionally in fast-paced, agile environments

11. A “can-do” attitude and experience thriving in a start-up or scale-up setting

12. Background in energy billing and a solid understanding of industry processes

13. A natural leader who inspires and develops high-performing teams
