EQUANS are recruiting for an Gas & Heating Supervisor to be based in Belfast. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Gas Heating Supervisor to lead, manage, and deliver gas-related services across residential, commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of gas appliances and systems, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. The role also involves mentoring colleagues, project supervision, and client communication.
Key Accountabilities
* Install, service, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems, including boilers, heating systems, pipework, and other gas-related infrastructure.
* Diagnose and resolve complex faults efficiently and safely.
* Carry out routine and emergency gas safety checks and inspections in accordance with legal and industry standards (e.g. Gas Safe regulations).
* Lead and supervise colleagues, providing training, guidance, and support.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety regulations and internal quality standards.
* Maintain accurate records of work carried out, materials used, and customer interactions.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to schedule work and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Support project management teams in planning and delivering gas-related aspects of heating projects.
* Stay up to date with changes in legislation, technologies, and best practices in gas engineering.

Who are we looking for?
Skills & Competencies
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing and Heating / Gas Installation.
* Current Gas Safe registration and certifications (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1).
* Proven experience as a gas engineer, with at least [5+] years in the industry.
* Strong knowledge of domestic and/or commercial heating systems.
* Full UK driving licence (or applicable country equivalent).
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and risk assessments.
Desirable:
* Experience with domestic/commercial systems.
* LPG and/or oil qualifications.
* Knowledge of renewable technologies (e.g., air source heat pumps).
* First Aid Certification.
* Supervisory or project management experience.
