Post Title: Community Support Officer
Location: Headquarters, Inverness
Hours: 17.5 Hours Per Week
Duration: Maternity Cover
Salary: £20,010 - £21,694 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To support engagement activities related to the implementation of the Community Empowerment Act and the Council's Place-Based approach, including developing local relationships and networks with community bodies.
To provide support and build capacity among local community groups to enable greater involvement and participation in local planning and engagement activities. To support groups in taking on local assets and developing resilience approaches to support the delivery of local priorities.
The post will be part of the Community Support and Engagement team and will work across either the West and Mid area. The post holder will collaborate with the wider area-based team to support projects and activities across the area.

Requirements
Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with evidence of degree-level educational ability.
OR
Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification.
Driving license and/or access to personal transport are required.
