Pay Rate: £24.60 - £26.60 per hour.
Contract: 12-month duration.
Hours: Core hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Working within the Electrical Systems & Component team, you will be at the forefront of developing intelligent and reliable electrical solutions for small, mini, and micro-sized construction machines. This is a dynamic role where you aren't just looking at screens; you'll be getting hands-on with the equipment, even operating diggers on the test site to prove design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct hands-on fault finding and machine diagnostics to identify electrical issues.
Execute testing on prototype builds using electrical handheld equipment and oscilloscopes.
Repair, build, and test electrical harnesses to ensure peak machine performance.
Maintain a high-standard electrical lab space, ensuring all tools are certified and health and safety compliant.
Utilise specialised diagnostic software and Microsoft Visio to analyse circuits and troubleshoot complex systems.

We are looking for a self-starter who can work effectively both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience in electrical fault finding.
Experience with off-highway diggers is the ultimate goal, though 5-10 years of experience with road-going cars/automotive systems is also highly valued.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring harness drawings.
Knowledge of high-speed data networks
Familiarity with vehicle sub-systems like hydraulics, engines, and transmissions.
Practical experience in 5th Gen cellular telematics, remote control vehicles, or autonomous technology.
