What will you be doing?
As our Technical Architect, you’ll shape Yorkshire Housing’s technology landscape. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with our strategic goals. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs, collaborating with developers, analysts, and project managers.
You’ll define and maintain technical roadmaps supporting our operational and data strategies, chair the Yorkshire Housing Technical Design Authority, and set technical standards and best practices across the organization. As a mentor and leader, you’ll support colleagues within the Technology, Insight, and Change directorate, building capability and confidence.
Your role involves evaluating emerging technologies, assessing risks, and driving continuous improvement. Reporting to the Head of Technology, you’ll thrive in a flexible, agile environment focused on collaboration and customer needs.
This is an agile homeworking role offering flexibility, with days in our Leeds workspace for meetings and team activities as needed.

Who are we looking for?
We seek a driven, collaborative individual ready for a new challenge. Ideally, you’ll have:
* Proven experience in technical design and architecture
* Strong knowledge of cloud and on-premises solutions (e.g., SaaS, AWS, Azure)
* Experience with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* A passion for innovation and continuous improvement
Bonus points if you have:
* A formal Enterprise Architecture qualification (e.g., Azure or AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
* Experience with Salesforce, Workday, or Agile delivery
* Knowledge of the social housing sector

This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £75,000 per annum, a 35-hour workweek, 26 days of annual leave (rising to 31), plus Bank Holidays. We provide a comprehensive reward package, including health benefits, retail discounts, and a pension scheme with up to 9% employer contributions.
