We are looking for Call Handlers to work 12 hour shifts from Monday to Sunday. These shifts will include a mix of day and night assignments.
Our emergency call handlers are committed, enthusiastic individuals who care about people and are able to listen, respond, and process information quickly and accurately using the Computer Aided Dispatch system.
Responsibilities
* Answer 999 calls that come into the Emergency Operating Centre in a timely manner.
* Utilise clinical triage software to deliver appropriate responses to callers.
* Provide polite, courteous, and respectful communication at all times to patients, callers, and peers in line with the Trust's values and behaviours.
* Adhere to the triage tool and follow instructions and advice for callers/patients.
Qualifications
* No clinical experience required; however, pre‑employment guidance will be provided.
* Full‑time commitment – training and mentoring period fully paid and includes full‑time hours.
* Strong calm communication skills and the ability to remain composed while dealing with emotionally charged callers.
* Prior call‑centre experience is an advantage but not essential.
