Join a Role That Truly Makes a Difference

Part Time Support Worker (Female) York
1pm-4pm each day

Ready to empower someone's independence and be part of their journey?
At Active Care in the Home, one of the UK's leading providers of complex care, we believe every person deserves the chance to live life on their own terms.

Now, we'd love for you to meet one remarkable individual who's looking for someone just like you.

Meet the client:

Our client values companionship and consistent, meaningful support throughout his daily routines. He is a smoker and appreciates his support worker being present during these moments, as this provides reassurance and continuity. In the evenings, he enjoys relaxing with a drink as part of his established routine.

He has a strong interest in military history and proudly displays an extensive collection of memorabilia within his home, including replica items, flags, figures, and distinctive ornaments that reflect his passions and personality. The environment is very much a reflection of his interests and can feel bold in character.

The client enjoys maintaining an active social life and regularly spends time with friends in his home. At times, this can create a lively and occasionally robust atmosphere. Support workers should therefore feel confident working in a home where visitors may be present and be comfortable maintaining professional boundaries within a dynamic social setting.

Building a positive, respectful, and trusting relationship is key. The client responds well to clear communication, consistency, and a calm but confident approach. A resilient and self-assured support worker will thrive in this role, supporting his independence while promoting safe and healthy choices and reducing the risk of self-neglect.

Your Role at a Glance

This role is to provide cover while the live in support worker takes a break.
