Role - Procurement Administrator x 2 c£35k + Benefits
* 6 - 12 months FIXED TERM CONTRACT (could lead to perm role)

My client is a leader in their field, due to continued growth they are looking for 2 procurement administrators with strong admin and excel skills with plenty of get up and go! My client is on a rapid growth trajectory with circa 500 employees and growing. You will be joining at an exciting time of growth within the established procurement team.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Work closely with Procurement Buyers to ensure all approved purchasing requests are converted into accurate and timely purchase orders.
* Raise, maintain and track raw material contracts and call‑off orders.
* Ensure quantities and delivery dates are reviewed and aligned with the Planning team and correctly reflect inventory requirements.
Order Tracking & Expediting
* Actively monitor open purchase orders and contracts, tracking supplier confirmations and expected delivery dates.
* Proactively expedite orders where there is a risk to supply, escalating issues early to buyers and stakeholders.
* Apply particular focus to goods shipped from India, recognising longer lead times, compliance, documentation requirements and transit risk.
Supplier & Operational Support
* Support new supplier set‑up and onboarding, ensuring all documentation and system data is complete and accurate.
* Liaise with suppliers on order status, documentation, shipment readiness and invoice queries.
* Support management of proforma payments where required, ensuring alignment with contract terms and delivery milestones.
Inventory & Data Control
* Support the monitoring of stock levels against agreed inventory policies, highlighting risks or exceptions.
* Maintain high standards of system data integrity across ERP and procurement tools, ensuring accurate records of pricing, contracts and orders.
Reporting & Procurement Support
* Collate and maintain information to support procurement reporting, including order status, contract coverage and supplier performance.
* Provide administrative and analytical support for pricing reviews, tenders and market reviews as required.
Skills and Experience (Criteria: (D) = Desirable; (E) = Essential)
* Strong attention to detail and follow‑through (E)
* Confident working with buyers, suppliers and logistics partners (E)
* Comfortable managing multiple orders and deadlines simultaneously (E)
* Proactive mindset: flags issues early rather than reacting late (E)
* Experience with international supply chains (especially India) is advantageous (D)
* Good working knowledge of ERP / procurement systems and Excel (E)
* Previous experience in a similar role desirable (D)
* 5+ Years experience in relevant commodity markets mainly in food manufacturing (D)
