A specialist Manufacturing and Engineering company are looking for a motivated and technically minded Proposals Engineer to join their growing team in Horsham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a background in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering who enjoys combining technical understanding with commercial awareness.
As a Proposals Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the sales and projects teams by preparing detailed technical and commercial proposals for industrial plant installations / skid packages.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and quotations for bespoke plant systems.
Interpret client specifications, drawings, and tender documents to produce compliant and competitive offers.
Liaise with internal design, projects, and sales teams to ensure proposals meet technical and budgetary requirements.
Support the handover of successful bids to the projects department.
Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and accurate pricing.
Maintain an understanding of relevant environmental technologies and industry standards.
About You
You will have a background in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, ideally supported by a relevant degree or HNC/HND, and bring experience in proposals, estimating, or applications engineering within an industrial or environmental and, be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Above all, youll be a proactive team player who enjoys working collaboratively, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.
