Role Overview
Greenwich Children’s Integrated Therapies Service is looking to appoint a newly qualified or Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist with experience to join our School Years Team.
You will work with school‑age children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, providing assessment, advice and intervention alongside a supportive team of therapists and assistants. The posts have arisen due to increased interest from local nurseries and schools for high‑quality Speech and Language Therapy provision.
Professional development and support are available throughout the Service. You will have access to administrative, managerial and clinical support, CPD and a range of embedded support for Band 5 therapists.

Most Band 5 therapists progress into Band 6 roles within the Service.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and intervention for children with a range of SLCN in schools, nurseries and health centres
* Work as part of an integrated team with teachers and outreach services supporting children with communication difficulties and their families
* Involve in service development projects, for example the Bilingualism Quality Improvement Project and the Developmental Language Disorder working group
Qualifications
* Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist, newly qualified or with experience
* RCSLT NQP Competencies Framework completion required for newly qualified therapists
Training and career development is well supported, with internal and external training available such as Nuffield Dyspraxia, Shape Coding, Word Aware, PECS and bilingualism.
